"Painted in Peel: Landscapes by the Group of Seven and their Contemporaries"

For CCA's first event of the season we have organized a one hour long tour of the Painted in Peel Exhibit especially for CCA members. Judy Daley, Assistant Curator, conceived of this show while doing some on-line research. It is the most ambitious show ever mounted by the Peel Art Gallery and it includes works from the National Gallery of Canada, the McMichael Gallery and the AGO. A total of 55 paintings will be on display along with letters, sketches and artifacts. The subject matter is our beloved hills - the very countryside we strive to protect.

Come and see how it looked to some of Canada's most celebrated artists so many years ago The most recent edition of In The Hills Magazine has a wonderful article on the exhibit. Please reserve early as we have a limited number of spaces.

• Gallery admission

• CCA tour

• Catalogue from the exhibit

Tour participants are invited to continue viewing the exhibits and/or visit other areas in the gallery after the tour.

We will go out for socializing afterwards depending on the interests of the group attending.
