Question #3 of 8: What is your position on the Kyoto Protocol?
Ted Alexander, Green Party of Canada I fully endorse the Green Party's position on Kyoto and believe with our policies we can easily exceed the Kyoto's targets. Murray Calder, Liberal Party of Canada The Canadian way is to work multilaterally and to persuade others by example and through negotiations. I support the Kyoto Protocol as a first step toward addressing climate change. The advantage of Kyoto is that it is an international treaty signed by about 100 other countries. We gain leverage over the actions of other countries by working jointly. This is far more effective than if we were simply to act on our own.
