Caledon Housing Design Expo

Showcasing innovation in sustainable community & housing design

Brought to you by

Caledon Countryside Alliance

and

Metalon Technologies

The Caledon Countryside Alliance has been long recognized for its commitment to protecting the environment and the countryside. Increasingly, we have become aware of the need for novel approaches to housing and community design as part of sustainable community development.

Urban expansion is happening at a rapid pace in the Greater Toronto Area and there is a strong need to find housing for the growing population while recognizing land and energy are both finite resources. Resources that need to be protected for future generations. At the same time as the overall population ages, there is demand for maintenance free housing.

The Housing Design Expo has been organized to develop new, advanced and possibly unique housing designs that will lead to improved energy conservation, reduced maintenance costs and, in turn, enhanced lifestyle opportunities.

Developers, architects, municipal representatives and the community at large are encouraged to come out and share their ideas. The main focus of this EXPO is to promote new leading edge sustainable housing and community designs.
