Regional Council Candidates:

"I find the citizens in Bolton extremely active in their conservation behaviour, as many programs have been embraced. Microbe, blue box/grey box, anti-idling, and energy efficient thermostats and lightbulbs are programs that are being practiced with pride. I would support a program that educates the overall effect of their contributions while promoting ongoing changes in behaviour."

"Anti-idling By-laws should be enacted for vehicles.  Homeowners should be encouraged by incentives to operate their homes on a more energy efficient basis - like low flush toilets, energy efficient appliances, and so on."

Jason Payne

"The introduction of Bio fuels would be a great start for the towns fleet of vehicles."

"The use of a building automation system that would enable the town to lower the temperature at night or during the day in unused areas of the building, along with managing the lighting requirements of town staff during  operational hours and non operational hours."
